Welcome to GG Spiraling Tours

At end of a day's driving she relaxes by writing the story of the day's adventures.

Some adventures are minor, like the frog in the loo with a gecko jockey reaching up to plant a high five on your naked butt.

Others potentially could have been disastrous

These pages are a mix of both mine and other people's stories or adventures.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

MAKEOVERS

"Are my ears on straight, is my nose in place, will I look alright to be Evie's home on Xmas Day?" sang the Pelimobile & Ralph the Travel dog as we began the preparations to head off on our long trek away wherever for however long it takes....it all began in August 2018.
Such a long, long list of preparations to go through before heading off:
Find house sitter for Gooligulch Lake Boga - Nellie P thank you!
fresh eggs and Woorinen oranges packed in - Sam & Rorey thank you
Inside makeover- curtains replaced with blinds, total clean through- all cupboards & lockers emptied out.
Outside makeover -Cut, polish and decorate- old Bage transforming it into the Pelimoble featuring the Pelican and Wombat from Graeme Base's book "My Grannie Lives in Gooligulch" and names of all the grandkids, Danny Schifferlie thank you.
“Under the bonnet ' stuff - Uncle Jeff thank you, for training emphasis on what was most important...multiple visits to Autobarn, Natrad, Bartech Air Con, Truck Specialist, Mallee Windscreens, Syd Wilsons. Great to discover at Murray Mallee Machinery that the water pump was on the way out and get that replaced before leaving. Cruise control, UHF, installed…all good to go.
Replacements for me at Murray Mallee Machinery- training and handovers to Renee, Ann, Danny thank you. Finally, I am retired from
hands on work and I am delighted to be leaving my work in such capable hands!
Bike and custom bike rack installed – Steve at Bikes & Trikes thank you

Repacking the Pelimobile to sleep one instead of 5 and create storage room for the long haul. while being mindful of not 'packing the kitchen sink' and keeping the weight down and evenly distributed.  There is a lot one can live without eventually.. Setting up a writing space using the TV as a big screen

Last minute replacement of front tyres causing a hurried collection of remaining gear to be packed at Boga..

Emotional farewell  bbq lunch with the great crew at MMMachinery  and rough repacking before final check over and it was time to  "Get the show on the road!"
