I have really enjoyed her company while her people have been away and will really miss her as I move on.
Strong in expressing her disapproval for strangers loudly when first met, this petit staffie/dingo cross is a character with an engaging personality.
She disapproves of Sat or Sunday lie ins, rattling the steps of the Pelimobile if I linger in bed too long after daybreak.
Doggie delight is vigorously expressed when she sees me pulling my walking boots on -tail and hindquarters wagging, wide grin with tongue lolling ready for a sneaky lick of my toes.
Once out on the road, she goes about doggy business, checking who has gone by, tracing where the wallaroos have been recently.
Sometimes she disappears altogether in thick, dry Mitchell Grass, reappearing with that wide grin as if to say “you are missing out on all the fun in the scrub by sticking on that road!”
She was a great watchdog and let me know straight up if anyone was about- I felt quite safe with her on guard.
At nighttime she camped under my van, and when I moved the van, I discovered she used three seperate curl up scrapes she had dug into the gravel.
No matter where I was sitting or lying in the van, she was curled up close by.
Thank you Deb and Tom for trusting me with care of your Precious one - she is a real gem!
