Welcome to GG Spiraling Tours

At end of a day's driving she relaxes by writing the story of the day's adventures.

Some adventures are minor, like the frog in the loo with a gecko jockey reaching up to plant a high five on your naked butt.

Others potentially could have been disastrous

These pages are a mix of both mine and other people's stories or adventures.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

SOUTHERN LADY VISITS!

SOUTHERN LADY VISITS!

On my quest to find sacred places and souls in and around Australia, I have been delighted to have join me, one such soul, who lives in Swan Hill.

Marg Elizabeth Lewis courageously flew alone, via Adelaide and Darwin to Kununurra in the East Kimberly WA, to revel in the 35degree days and cool nights.

Her knowledge of the Kimberly is uncannily accurate- gleaned from the writings of Ernestine Hill, Elizabeth Durack, Outback magazines etc.

She has joyously soaked up the ever-changing colors and shadows of sunrises, sunsets, full moon rises, midday's and evenings, over rock-faces, escarpment and water.

Artist's eye and brushes have been exercised with enthusiasm every day.

Early morning wake-up calls from the noisy Babbler birds pecking at their reflections in her window.

Hours spent watching them and the multitude of other bird life including the bower birds bouncing around stealing the clothes pegs.

Serenely floating, on a boat, in the vast stretches of the colossal man-made Lake Argyle, sipping champagne at sunset and moon rise, Marg raised her glass and said:

"how fortunate we are to live in this wonder filled Land of ours"

Enthusiastically, every one of her new-found friends on the boat raised their glasses in salute to her toast.

Marg's friendly approach to people has enriched the experiences we have had in galleries, shops and at tourist destinations.

Artist Sadie and her granddaughter April, could have easily slipped in and out of the Artlandish Gallery without us hearing their story, if Marg had not started chatting to them.

A Guided tour by our very generous neighbor "Eggy'  Yvonne Van Der Wees and her friend Carol to the Port of Wyndham where 'Five Rivers Meet' has been the stand out experience so far.

Boating on Lake Argyle, inhaling the fragrance at the Sandalwood Factory, Dry waterfalls, Gibb River Road, The Grotto, rock pool, Boabs, Boabs, Boabs, 360 degree views, wetlands, Parry's Lagoon, Brolgas and Jabiru, magpie geese, wading through creek crossings, striding through long grass, s seeing movie set historical buildings for Mystery Road, Bower Bird Pixie. ancient rock formations and Art, the list smelling sandalwood at the factory, goes on and on...

Argyle, Kununurra, Wyndham Darwin Adelaide Melbourne Bendigo Swan Hill.
